How Amazon’s RXPass is a deeper play into the health care space


Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is making a bigger play in the prescription drug space with the launch of a $5 monthly subscription service for Prime members in the U.S. that will cover a range of generic drugs.

The RxPass service, announced Tuesday, offers over 50 medications “that treat more than 80 common health conditions,” including high blood pressure, diabetes and anxiety. The flat-fee service also includes delivery.
