How Blackstone paid for The Ritz-Carlton on Maui


Blackstone Group paid a reported $275 million to purchase the The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua on Maui last month and financed the deal with a securitized debt package from Goldman Sachs.

Blackstone (NYSE: BX) borrowed $215 million to buy the 297-room hotel in West Maui, and put in $72 million for equity and closing costs, according to a report in Commercial Observer that cited a report from Fitch Ratings.
