HPU researcher receives $2.2 million NIH grant to find better treatment for drug addiction


A High Point University professor has received a $2.2 million grant to try to find a better way to treat for drug addiction and relapse.

The National Institutes of Health awarded $2,235,000 to Comfort Boateng, an assistant professor of basic pharmaceutical sciences in High Point University’s Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy.
