Inside the Minnesota clinic that’s helping Ukrainian amputees (gallery)


A Minnesota effort to help Ukrainian soldiers badly hurt in the Russian invasion is getting national attention.

The New York Times this week has a feature on the Protez Foundation in Oakdale, which runs a clinic to fit Ukrainians who have lost arms and legs in the war with prosthetic replacements.

Since launching the effort last summer — KMSP has details on that — the clinic has equipped dozens of people, mostly soldiers, with new prosthetic devices. Hundreds more have signed up for help.
