Jimmy John’s says ‘no’ to GrubHub and other third-party food delivery services


Jimmy John’s, the fast-food sandwich company, on Thursday emphatically stated it will never turn to third-party food delivery services.

That includes the likes of Chicago-based GrubHub (NYSE: GRUB) and UberEats, to name but two of the biggest.

Jimmy John’s instead will rely on delivery by staff that work directly for the sandwich company.

This strategy, of course, is a major break from established procedures at some well-known and large fast food chains, including McDonald’s (NYSE: MCD)…
