KC official defends denial of new liquor license for Tom’s Town


Tom’s Town Distilling Co. probably still will be subject to restrictions enacted by neighbors that the company agreed to as a way to open the business.

The city’s liquor hearing board is expected to uphold the denial of a request by Tom’s Town to get a new liquor license, one without the restrictions the company is currently subject to.
