L3 Technologies acquires Md. aerospace firm for $50 million


L3 Technologies said Monday it has acquired Applied Defense Solutions, a Maryland-based aerospace engineering, software development and space tech company, for about $50 million.

The deal strengthens L3’s (NYSE: LLL) capabilities in space situational awareness, particularly multidomain command and control, said CEO Chris Kubasik — mission-critical areas that are a key element of U.S. national security strategy objectives.
