The Twin Cities 24-county metro area includes Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, Mower, Nicollet, Olmsted, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Stearns, Steele, Washington and Wright in Minnesota, and Pierce and St. Croix in Wisconsin. Doran Group, formerly Doran Properties Group, declined to provide updated information for this year's list. It ranked 13th on last year's list. Dominium, Senior Housing Partners and Greco didn't submit information for this year's List. Last year they ranked fifth, 14th and 21st, respectively.
