M&A slump expected as Trump’s trade wars, stock volatility continue


The global mergers and acquisitions market had a big year in 2018, with total deal values topping $3.5 trillion — the third highest total since 2001. But analysts say it’s difficult to determine whether 2019 will continue to see that level of activity.
