Mary Ann’s Baking approved for California Competes Tax Credit for expansion


Mary Ann's Baking Co. Inc. is planning to hire more than 100 people locally and invest in its local commercial baking operations, according to its application for a California economic incentive.

The California Competes Tax Credit Committee this week approved Mary Ann's application, making the company eligible for $5 million in tax credits from the state if it invests $12 million and nearly doubles its staff in five years.
