Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut recalls products following detection of E. coli


Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut has voluntarily recalled products produced at the company’s Keaau facility between Sept. 6 and 21 due to potential contamination of Eschericia coli (E. coli).

The recall comes a few days after the facility was required to close its operations following the detection of E. coli in the well water and distribution system that supplies the Big Island facility. No illnesses related to the water have been reported to the state.
