The CEO of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) announced her resignation Friday.
Melanie Blakeney, who has held the job for more than six years, will continue leading the organization until Oct. 8, at which point she'll transition into a consulting role, according to a news release.
Blakeney has worked for MAAR in some capacity for 19 years. She said she is stepping away to take another job but declined to discuss that job.
