NC’s largest real estate firm merges with Pittsburgh agency


Charlotte-based Allen Tate Cos. is joining forces with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, a Pittsburgh-based real estate firm that has an eight-state footprint.

Allen Tate is the state's largest residential real estate agency in terms of agents in North Carolina with 1,650, according to Triangle Business Journal research. The firm has 232 agents in the Triangle area, spread across seven local offices. Its 2017 closed volume in the Triangle was $727.3 million.
