Sandcastle, the just-closed eatery on the shore of Lake Nokomis, could soon have a replacement from the owners of Unleashed Hounds & Hops.
Axios reports that a section committee from the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board has picked a concept called The Painted Turtle as its favorite from among 11 restaurants seeking to replace Sandcastle. (Owners of Sandcastle, which has run at Nokomis since 2013, said earlier this year that 2022 would be their last season.)
