Patti Payne’s Cool Pads: Proceeds from sale of $7.8M Mercer Island mansion to go to Seattle Children’s

A rare waterfront property on Mercer Island belonging to the estate of the late Bruce Leven is on the market for $7.75 million — and proceeds from the sale will be donated to Seattle Children's.

Ruth Harle and Margo Allan, founding brokers of Compass Seattle & Eastside, have the listing.

Leven, who died last year at the age of 79, was a successful businessman who owned and later sold Bayside Disposal in Washington, and Montana Waste Systems in Montana.
