Permitting on hold in Bastrop amid flooding concerns


Residential and commercial construction permitting is on hold in Bastrop.

The suburb east of Austin on Aug. 21 put a 90-day halt on new permits amid concerns about flooding, according to multiple media reports. Projects that are already under construction or that have already received their permits can continue.
