Pitt names new nursing school dean


The University of Pittsburgh has hired Christine E. Kasper as the new dean of its nursing school, replacing longtime leader Jacqueline Dunbar-Jacob, who is retiring after 21 years in the job.

Kasper has been the dean of the College of Nursing at the University of New Mexico for four years, and she'll take over from Dunbar-Jacob on Jan. 1. Kasper was hired after a national search.
