A music and film producer who has worked with Prince, Alicia Keys, Guns N’ Roses, and Jennifer Lopez is planning to open a coffee shop/recording studio in Downtown Memphis.
Samuel Aroutiounian applied to the Downtown Memphis Commission’s (DMC) Center City Development Corp. (CCDC) for an exterior improvement grant of about $32,000 for 123 S. Court Ave. While the majority of the six-floor building is condos, the ground-floor commercial space is a long-vacant property.
