Pugh pays a visit to Lexington Market, where vendors say they’re still struggling


Mayor Catherine Pugh took a trip to Lexington Market Wednesday, urging people to come visit as vendors say business continues to struggle after video of a rat scurrying through a market stall went viral.

Pugh toured the market, shaking hands and talking to vendors, before eating a lunch of crab cakes and beet salad from the stalls. She was joined by City Council President Bernard C. "Jack" Young and Councilman Eric Costello, whose district includes Lexington Market.
