Despite national rents seeing the slowest start since 2010, Phoenix maintains an upward trend in rent prices, according to recent data from RentCafe and Yardi Matrix.

A RentCafe infographic shows that Phoenix is in the top five for fastest-rising rents for cities in the United States.

The average rent in Phoenix in May was $967, according to RentCafe. This is a 0.4 percent change in the past month and a 4.4 percent growth change year over year.
