Neuralink Corp., Elon Musk's brain implant startup, is reportedly under federal investigation for its treatment of test animals.

Prompted by a federal prosecutor's request, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Inspector General opened the inquiry in "recent months," Reuters reported. The probe comes amid complaints by staff at the Fremont company that rushed testing is causing needless suffering and deaths of laboratory animals, according to the report.
