Restaurant chain menus add calorie counts


Beginning today, restaurants with more than 20 locations must display calorie counts on their menus as legislation passed in 2010 as part of the Affordable Care Act takes effect.

Supermarkets that offer prepared foods in their deli departments and movie theaters also must post the information under the federal Common Sense Nutrition Disclosure Act.
