Restaurant roundup: Dallas concepts coming, Austin pizza place eyes Houston, New Tex-Mex spot hits the Heights


Houston is becoming more of a popular spot for out-of-towner restaurants to set up shop. This week’s restaurant roundup includes restaurants from Dallas and Austin, all of which are making their Houston debuts later this year or next year.

Sixty Vines, a “wine-focused” restaurant based in the Dallas area, will open Oct. 14 at 2540 University Blvd. The 8,700-square-foot, two-story restaurant will feature The Sonoma Room, a wine cellar-inspired room that’s unique to the Houston location.…
