REVIEW: Music by Lili Boulanger, Clara Schumann are revelatory in CCO’s ‘Summermusik’


Women have been composing music for centuries, and for many reasons, much of it remains unknown. In the last couple of decades, female composers have made strides in seeing their music performed on America’s concert stages. But there are still many riches to discover, as was illustrated in the concert presented by music director Eckart Preu and the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra’s Summermusik festival on Saturday in Corbett Theater at the School for Creative and Performing Arts.
