Ryman reveals opening date for Opryland’s $90M waterpark — and discount for Nashville residents


The two-person surfing machine was installed, but dry. The temperature was around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, a bit higher than the advertised unwavering temp of 84 degrees. Instead of six or seven genres of piped-in music, the soundtrack was drills piercing concrete, heavy-duty vehicles backing up and hydraulic lifts screeching as they stretched higher. Palm trees were planted, but the walls of greenery were bare.
