Salt Tavern, an Upper Fells Point favorite, is closing after 12 years


Salt Tavern swept onto the restaurant scene at the height of the farm-to-table craze with haute seasonal fare that brought diners from throughout the area to a corner rowhouse in Baltimore's Upper Fells Point neighborhood.

Salt's chef and owner Jason Ambrose quickly garnered great reviews, regularly made the "Best of" lists and gained fame for his duck fat fries, foie gras burger and goat cheese doughnuts.
