San Antonio home sales outpace Texas in January


The local housing market started strong in 2019 as sales in January rose 2 percent year over year, according to the latest Multiple Listing Service report from the San Antonio Board of Realtors.

There were 1,788 homes sold last month in the San Antonio area, up from 1,760 in January 2018. The average price of a home in January also saw a 2 percent year-over-year increase to $249,477, up from $244,571. The median price increased 3 percent to $217,200, up from $210,700 in January 2018.
