Shift in Ikea’s expansion strategy could benefit Hawaii


Swedish home furnishings giant Ikea has never done business in Hawaii, where the population and isolation of the Islands has not met its minimum requirements for one of its sprawling warehouse stores, but that could possibly change as the retailer adapts its expansion strategy to reach more customers in urban centers with smaller stores.
