Study: Tampa ranks sixth worst among major metro areas for mortgage application fraud risk


A recent report by CoreLogic Inc., a New York-based real estate data company, found that Florida remains one of the worst states for mortgage application fraud risk.

CoreLogic’s 2019 report found that Florida is the third worst state for mortgage fraud, though for the first time since 2017, the Sunshine State was bumped from the No. 2 spot by New Jersey. New York held its spot at No.1.
