The Electric Factory has a new name after purchase by NYC company


Philadelphia's Electric Factory is no more — at least not in name.

The popular music venue has been permanently renamed a month after a New York-based company acquired it.

The Bowery Presents, a concert promotion and venue management company that owns Philadelphia venue Union Transfer, in September bought the Electric Factory.

The venue has since been called temporary name "North Seventh," but it now has a permanent name: Franklin Music Hall.
