The Elephant averts closure in Mt. Vernon once again


The past few months have been a rollercoaster ride for the owners of the Elephant.

The Mount Vernon restaurant hit the market in January, announced it would close in March and then decided to reopen on a limited schedule for the month of April. Now, it's back in business for the foreseeable future, co-owner Steven Rivelis said Wednesday.
