The Falls Event Center in Elk Grove could be sold at auction at the end of this month in a trustee sale, according to a notice posted on the building’s front door.
A notice of trustee sale cites an unpaid balance of $8 million on a construction loan, which is secured by the property at 8280 Elk Grove Blvd. There are two buildings at that location.
The notice is alarming to people who have put down deposits to use the center, which is a venue for weddings and other small events.
