U of L to rename Our Lady of Peace, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital


The University of Louisville will remove the religious elements of the formerly Catholic hospitals it's planning to acquire: Our Lady of Peace psychiatric hospital and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

U of L announced last week that it has a deal with the Chicago-based Catholic health system CommonSpirit Health to take over the Louisville assets of KentuckyOne Health Inc., which includes these facilities as well as Jewish Hospital. It will not be changing the name of Jewish Hospital.
