UT System releases RFQ to find buyer, developer for 300 acres in Houston


The University of Texas System is moving forward with plans to sell more than 300 acres it owns in Houston.

UT System Chancellor William McRaven announced plans to buy 332 acres in November 2015, even though a specific use for the property had not been developed. The system formed an 18-member task force to come up with recommendations for the site, which proposed using it for a massive data science institute.
