VF Corp.’s move to Denver could leave a huge hole on Alameda’s waterfront


VF Outdoor made a huge splash when it moved into a modern and sustainable 14-acre waterfront campus in Alameda in 2012.

Now, the fate of the 210,000-square-foot campus at 2701 Harbor Bay Parkway is unclear as the company has decided to split up its operations and move 650 Bay Area employees to Denver in 2019.

The company has not decided what it will do with the property, a spokesperson said. Meanwhile, finding another company to fill the space may prove challenging.
