Vista Outdoor buying Simms Fishing for $192 million in latest big-dollar deal


Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO) on Thursday said it has acquired Simms Fishing Products, a maker of waders and other fishing gear, in the latest move to bulk up its consumer-brands business before Vista spins it off as a separate company.

Anoka-based Vista will spend $192.5 million to acquire Simms, which is based in Bozeman, Montana, and has annual sales of about $110 million and a compound annual growth rate of 15% from calendar year 2019 to 2021.
