Wells Fargo donation helps Baltimore churches deliver on promise of housing affordability


As an inner-city neighborhood, Sandtown-Winchester is considered one of the toughest areas of Baltimore. Within the neighborhood sits Ames Memorial United Methodist Church, a beacon of hope, where congregants gather to worship, sing and collect food for the needy.

Since 2008, the church has been led by the Rev. Rodney Hudson. Early in his tenure Bill Adams, a retired city employee and a member of Hudson’s congregation, often talked with Hudson about his years in urban planning and development.…
