Why the second-largest community bank in the Carolinas is entering the Charlotte market


CresCom Bank, a subsidiary of Carolina Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: CARO), is expanding into the Charlotte market. It is the second-largest community bank in the Carolinas.

As part of that expansion, CresCom named longtime banker Robin Lyle as its Charlotte regional executive. Lyle most recently served as president of South State Bank's North Carolina market. Prior to that, he was president of RBC Bank's U.S. commercial markets. He has lived in Charlotte for 35 years.
