Wisconsin Legislature approves $10M for Medical College cancer center


Medical College of Wisconsin leaders thanked the Wisconsin Legislature for approving $10 million — $5 million less than proposed by Gov. Tony Evers — in state funds toward a proposed $100 million cancer research facility.

Democrat Evers announced in March his support of $15 million for the project and included that amount in his proposed 2019-2021 capital budget. The Republican-controlled Joint Committee on Finance voted Tuesday to approve a $10 million grant from the State Building Commission.…
