Aerospace company backed by Dallas PE firm makes acquisition


An aerospace company backed by Dallas private equity firm Trive Capital acquired a Virginia-based contractor that, in part, makes an aircraft system allowing clients to see real-time images on a 3-D map.

More private equity firms are steering their aerospace investments into drone and geospatial technology providers that make detailed maps from the sky. The global aerospace and defense industry saw its revenue pass $685 billion last year, according to a recent study by Deloitte.
