All-star development teams square off for sites next to Lake Merritt BART station in Oakland


Four developers will face off for the chance to develop a mixed-use highrise on 2.8 acres next to the Lake Merritt BART Station in Oakland.

The station is close to Oakland’s downtown, Laney College, Chinatown and of course, the lake, which is a major attraction in the city. The blocks surrounding the station, however, have seen little new development.
