Wells Fargo & Co.’s legal tab keeps blowing up. On Friday, the embattled bank agreed to pay $480 million to resolve a class action lawsuit brought by investors accusing the company of securities fraud related to its fake-account scandal.

Records show more construction workers are dying amid Nashville’s boom
A special report in The Tennessean this weekend explores an increase in the number of deaths at Nashville-area construction sites.
Based on an analysis of state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration data, The Tennessean found that 16 construction workers died in the Nashville metropolitan area in 2016 and 2017, which the paper’s analysis found to be “the deadliest two-year stretch in more than three decades.”

Tea company to open location at Pizitz Food Hall

Piper & Leaf Tea Co. is moving downtown from its stand at Pepper Place, according to Bham Now.
Piper & Leaf serves brewed and loose-leaf tea. It is also looking to add on-tap cold brew coffee, pour-over coffee and carbonated tea to its Pizitz location.

City of Birmingham to revive board for restaurant contract review
A Birmingham city board will have to be resurrected in order to approve a new restaurant for Parkside.
The mayor and city council is looking to appoint new members to the Public Athletic, Cultural and Entertainment (PACE) Facilities Board to review a contract for Michael's Steak and Seafood to open a location in the Negro Southern League Museum, according to AL.com.
The board, which oversaw the museum and Regions Field, went dormant after the terms of the five board members expired last year.
