Famous Toastery, a rapidly growing breakfast and lunch chain, is preparing to open its first location in New York.
A new 3,700-square-foot restaurant is expected to have its grand opening this summer in Long Island.
Even though the company was launched in North Carolina, the current expansion plan signifies a homecoming for its founders — Robert Maynard and Brian Burchill.

Target is launching curbside pickup of online orders at stores throughout Florida and Texas.

Redevelopment plans for old church in South Baltimore to be unveiled
Plans for a 10-unit townhome project in South Baltimore at Hanover and Clement streets are set to be unveiled before city planning officials Thursday.
The development would replace the former American Rescue Workers church and other properties in the 1400 block of S. Hanover St. Charm City Builders is scheduled to reveal details before the Planning Commission at City Hall this week.

Hunters Point Shipyard development adds schools, hotel and factory space to its project as city approves redesign
San Francisco's largest approved project will add schools, a hotel and a factory to its mix of new housing after a city commission approved a redesign proposed by developer Five Point Holdings LLC.
According to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle, the city approved a proposal for The Hunters Point Shipyard project that would:
Add a 120-room hotel to the project.
Add as many as three educational campuses.
Add a factory building with maker space.

Al Capone’s former Miami Beach home has been fully renovated — no bullet holes present — and listed for $14.9 million.
The waterfront home at 93 Palm Ave. was built on the 30,000-square-foot lot in 1922 and bought by Capone for $40,000 in 1928. The notorious Chicago gangster, known as “Scarface,” served in prison for tax evasion from 1931 to 1939, and then returned to his heavily-guarded Miami Beach home.
Capone died of a stroke in the home in 1947. His widow sold the house in 1952.
