Spanish company plans new wind farm in South Texas
Spanish renewables company Acciona SA plans to build a $200 million wind farm in the Rio Grande Valley.
The Palmas Altas Wind Farm is slated for a rural area near Los Fresnos in Cameron County. The farm will have 46 wind turbines with a capacity of 145 megawatts, which will generate 524 gigawatt-hours of clean energy per year — enough electricity to power 43,000 homes.
