No. 5 Spire Credit Union and No. 6 Hiway Credit Union in August 2023 received approval to merge in a deal that will take effect in January 2024. No. 10 Thrivent Financial is chartered in Wisconsin. The Business Journal includes it because its sponsor, Thrivent, has corporate headquarters in Minneapolis. Last year's No. 25 Financial One Credit Union merged with No. 4 Magnifi Financial in 2022.
