Bayer appears serious about settling Roundup lawsuits


German pharmaceuticals giant Bayer appears to be serious about settling the thousands of legal cases filed against it over Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller.

Bayer CEO Werner Baumann held a series of meetings with shareholders in Frankfurt, Germany, last week, Bloomberg reported. Bloomberg Intelligence analysts have said the cases could result in a settlement of as much as $10 billion.
