Boston Beer reports first increase in shipments in over a year


Boston Beer Company reported a 15 percent increase in shipments to distributors in the first quarter compared to the same period last year.

The company (NYSE: SAM) hasn’t seen a year-over-year increase in shipments since the fourth quarter of 2016. It said sales in its first quarter were buoyed by new offerings, beating back several quarters of poor performance.
