Burger King at high-profile site on east side shutters


The Burger King on Milwaukee's east side is no more.

The national chain's location at 2045 E. North Ave. has shut its doors. The fast food chain's sign has been taken down at the building and a note posted on the storefront's window informs customers of the restaurant's closure.

Prior to Burger King, the space was occupied by a Bruegger's Bagels and a Subway restaurant.
