‘Busting at the seams’ in Lakeland, Publix looks to a $25 million construction project to grow its HQ (Rendering)


Publix Super Markets Inc. will embark on a major construction project to grow its corporate headquarters in Lakeland.

The grocer is adding 190,000 square feet to its 320,000-square-foot campus in Lakeland. The addition will be adjacent to the existing building and identical — three stories with green-tinged glass.

"To say we're busting at the seams would be an understatement," Publix CEO Todd Jones said.
