Rocklin is considering a new operator of its Quarry Park Adventures, an affiliate of the firm that designed and built the rock climbing, rappelling and zip line park in the city’s historic granite quarries.

Hatch Baby Inc. has gained a powerful partner with funding from Amazon.com Inc. and a connection to its Alexa virtual assistant.

The startup didn't say how much funding it got from the tech giant but said that the funding was in addition to the $18.7 million it has disclosed to date.

The company's other investors include True Ventures (where Hatch Baby co-founder Ann Crady Weiss is a partner), Shea Ventures, Geoff Ralston and Chris Sacca. The latter invested after Hatch appeared on Shark Tank.
